Mukuru to get 13,000 housing units
The government of Kenya recently approved the affordable housing project that will see the residents of mukuru informal settlements in Nairobi, get decent houses.
The cabinet meeting chaired by the President of Kenya, approved the KShs. 15 Billion project for the social housing implementation. This is the first social housing programme in the country.
The project will be undertaken in partnership with private investor.
Affordable Housing is part of The Presidency’s big 4 agendas. The other three entail Affordable Healthcare, Manufacturing and Food Security.
